High Tech Manufacturing Knowledge Should be Protected Like Fort Knox

Low skill manufacturing jobs are not coming back to the United States. We just can’t compete with low cost countries when it comes to labor costs.  However, the technology and innovation we are developing for manufacturing automation, processes and materials is unmatched.  The high tech manufacturing jobs we are creating in the U.S. are ramping up an industrial base that is critical to our economy and national defense.  According to the National Association of Manufacturing, for every $1.00 spent on manufacturing, another $1.48 is added to the economy.  Manufacturing is the engine of a robust economy.
